A single band of silk dupioni ribbon is gathered by hand into a soft frill and sewn down the center of the cover, so the surface catches light in two directions at once. The dupioni itself has the fine slubs and quiet sheen the fabric is known for, which keeps the colors reading rich rather than flat. The back is the same silk dupioni with a flap-covered zipper, so the closure disappears when the cover is on a pillow.
